10+ Years of Transforming Relationships
PhD in Health Policy & Equity
Certified Conflict Resolution Expert
If any of this feels familiar, don’t wait another minute. You deserve a solution that works—one that understands your culture, your faith, and your unique struggles.
Arguments escalate quickly, and that’s just how you both fight. It’s exhausting, but you don’t know how else to communicate.
You’re carrying all the emotional weight. It feels unfair, overwhelming, and honestly, too much.
You’re anxious about the future of your relationship. The thought of walking away crosses your mind, but you don’t know if that’s the answer.
You keep arguing about the same things, over and over. It feels like a never-ending cycle with no real resolution.
Balancing cultures is way harder than you expected. You’re constantly stuck between traditions, expectations, and your own needs.
You’re walking on eggshells. Even the smallest thing could lead to another argument, and you’re so tired of the tension.
Big decisions—kids, finances, faith, lifestyle—feel impossible to navigate. It’s like you’re speaking different languages, and no one is willing to compromise.
You know therapy could help, but it’s not an option. Your partner won’t consider it, or it feels too expensive, too “foreign,” or just not right for your situation.

Why my conflict resolution coaching actually works—when nothing else may have
You began with passion and dreams of forever, but as the honeymoon phase fades, reality hits hard. Power struggles, unmet expectations, and outside pressures pull you apart. I’ll help you unlearn these patterns, restore balance, and build a future where you both win—every single time.
It may feel like you and your partner come from different worlds—but that doesn’t have to break you. With the right tools, you can merge those worlds and create a relationship where your values, identity, and love coexist—honoring both cultures without compromise.
Family values matter, but so does your relationship. You can respect traditions without letting them control your love life. I’ll help you understand your patterns, recognize your triggers, and focus on what truly matters. It’s time to make your relationship work—on your terms.
Your Guide to Culturally-Informed Conflict Resolution
I see you. I’ve been where you are. Trying to balance faith, culture, and relationships in a world that doesn’t always understand.
I’m Dr. Anum Rafiq, a Pakistani Canadian conflict resolution coach, and I’ve spent the last decade studying, researching, and working with individuals and couples just like you—navigating the complex realities of love, family, and identity in a Western world.
Growing up as a Muslim girl who immigrated to Canada in high school, I felt the tension firsthand—at home, tradition was everything, and outside, I was expected to blend in. I watched as close friends and family members struggled in silence, torn between expectations, cultural pressures, and their personal needs. There was no roadmap for us—so I created one.
That’s why I dedicated my PhD and double master’s degrees to understanding healthy intimacy, relationships, and faith-based conflict resolution—so I could equip my community with the tools they never had.
I saw young couples falling into toxic fights and silent suffering—stuck in unhealthy patterns because no one ever taught them how to navigate love, boundaries, or conflict in a way that honors both their culture and their personal needs.
Seeking help was something we were never taught to do. But I knew we needed it.
So, I spent 10+ years digging into what actually works for people like us—where and how youth learn about relationships, how culture shapes love and conflict, and what tools help couples break free from painful cycles.
I mastered a mix of Western psychological research and faith-based guidance, so I could bring my community solutions that actually make sense for our lived experiences.

"She gave me the words and confidence"
I’ll try to keep this short because I can’t put into words what Anum did for me. My parents were firm about who I could marry, and I never questioned it until I fell in love outside my culture. Every conversation ended in silence or tears, and I started doubting everything. Then I found Anum. From our first call, I felt understood. She gave me the words and confidence to have the hardest conversation of my life. Somehow, my parents listened. And now… I’m engaged, with my family by my side. I never thought this would be possible. Thank you, Anum
"First time in years, we feel hopeful, together."
I never thought we’d be here again, not just co-parenting, but truly trying to reconcile. The love and respect were always there, but the emotional distance, secrecy, and intimacy struggles made us feel like total strangers. We wanted to make things work, not just for our kids, but for us. And then we found Dr. Rafiq. From the first session, her professionalism, empathy, and faith-based guidance gave us the clarity we needed. She created a safe space for us to heal, to truly listen, and to reconnect. And now, for the first time in years, we feel hopeful, together. We can’t thank her enough.
"I actually started seeing a difference in my relationship"
Where do I even start? Anum has been a godsend. I met with her a few times to help learn why I was constantly dating the same type of guy and getting stuck. Once I figured out that I can literally transform the way I feel through my own mindset reframing and approach to the way I handled situations when I was mad, I actually started seeing a difference in my relationship. It’s definitely not easy and I’m still working on it, but it helped a lot.

This 1:1 Conflict Resolution Consultation focuses on practical strategies and cultural awareness, specifically for couples navigating relationships as racialized individuals in North America. While traditional therapy offers deep emotional exploration, this consultation is action-oriented, helping you address cultural pressures, family expectations, and personal values that often shape relationship conflicts.
It’s designed to complement—not replace—other forms of support by providing a faith- and culture-informed roadmap for communication and conflict resolution.
Each consultation is 50 minutes long and takes place virtually via a secure online platform.
📌 What to expect:
✔ A structured conversation about your relationship’s key challenges.
✔ A faith-based and culturally sensitive conflict resolution plan tailored to your needs.
✔ Clear, practical strategies to help you move forward with confidence.
Your first session is designed to provide clarity and immediate tools for improving your communication and resolving conflicts. Some couples find one session is enough to shift their approach in the short-term, while most benefit from follow-up sessions to refine strategies and deepen progress.
We’ll discuss whether continued support would be beneficial for you.
Think of it this way—you make up 50% of your relationship. If you improve your skills, you’re already improving half the dynamic. For the best results, both partners should attend, as this allows us to explore each perspective fully and work towards shared solutions. However, if one partner isn’t available or willing to attend, individual consultations are an option to help you develop tools for managing conflict and improving communication on your own.
I want you to get real value from our session. If you feel that the consultation didn’t meet your expectations, you can request a full refund within 24 hours. My goal is to provide meaningful support that genuinely helps you navigate your relationship challenges.
A consultation like this typically costs $150, but I’ve set the price at just $70 to make it accessible to those who need it most.
I believe culturally informed support should be available to everyone, so I’ve intentionally kept the pricing fair while ensuring you still receive high-quality, effective conflict resolution guidance.
Absolutely! Life happens, and I understand that schedules change.
✔ If you notify me in advance, we’ll reschedule at no extra cost.
❌ If you miss the session without prior notice, a 20% rescheduling fee will apply to secure another slot.
I appreciate your understanding and encourage you to reach out as soon as possible if you need to reschedule.
